The Fund's Purpose

The St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society has set up a separate PayPal account and bank account to help local artists in need.
While this need could be for any reason (medical bills, stolen equipment, etc), with the current COVID-19 situation we are focusing on those who have lost some or all of their income due to gigs being cancelled. Via this fund and other ways (see below) hope to help give back to these artists that have entertained us, and will once again once this situation has resolved.
The St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation may be tax deductible. You will get a letter confirming your donation, along with our tax information. Check with your accountant or tax preparer for eligibility on your return.

How It Works

Here, you can make a donation to a specific artist or artists, or to the fund "at large". To make a specific donation, Paypal has a dropdown box where you can choose this, and then please add a comment at checkout
Except for minimal expenses, all donations will go to Local Artists. The only expenses will be those needed to get the funds to them..so bank fees, PayPal fees and postage if they want check by mail.
Starting May 1, as we close the books on the previous month, we will contact the various artists involved on how best to get their portion of the fund to them as soon as possible. We will repeat this process at the beginning of every month.
Donations made to specific artists will go direct to them after Paypal fees are incurred. Donations made "at large" will be split evenly amongst all artists that are part of the program as of the end of that month.
Donations can be made to any St. Louis regional artist; however, if you are an artist and want to be included specifically as an option, you need to be Classic Rock oriented, and have had gigs cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation. Please contact us at localartists@stlouisclassicrock.com
Also, after each month ends, we will send you a thank you letter, including a copy of our 501(c)(3) information

Any donation (or series of donations) of $50 or more and we will give you a lifetime membership in the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society. You'll get some freebies up front (keychain, bumper sticker, etc) and will be eligible for monthly prizes.
