VOTING STARTS FRIDAY, APRIL 24; NOMINATIONS WITH COMMENTS LISTED BELOW
Ray Hartmann.

I can’t believe he’s not already in the HOF.

It’s a shame that when he’s inducted, it will be posthumously, but his friends and family certainly deserve the honor and the gratitude for Ray’s contribution to the music community, which was always covered completely and fairly in “The Riverfront Times”.

In the “Outside Influences” category:

The bands, Chilliwack and Lake, should be mandatory members of The Hall Of Fame. Their 2 respective albums, “Dreams, Dreams, Dreams” and the eponymous debut by Lake, practically defined the term, “KSHE Classic”, when it was coined and used in the early to mid ‘80s by such personalities as, Ruth Hutchinson and “Radio” Rich Dalton, during the first iterations of “The KSHE Classics Show”; John “The U-Man” Ulett, during his daily “Lunch Program” and “The Lone Classic” feature; Mark Klose, across the many years of his featured tracks on “Klose’s Cut Above”; as well as, Sweet Meat’s “Choice Cut”.

“KSHE Classics” by Chilliwack and Lake include:

Chilliwack - “Fly At Night (In The Morning We Land)”, “Baby Blue”, “Rockin’ Girl”, “California Girl”, “Roll On”, “Something Better”, “Arms Of Mary” and “My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone)”.

Lake - “On The Run”, “Sorry To Say”, “Time Bomb”, “Chasing Colours”, “Do I Love You”, “Key To The Rhyme”, “Between The Lines”, “Angel In Disguise”, “Crystal Eyes” and “Paradise Way”.

If you have ever been a fan of any of the personalities, shows, programs and features mentioned above, then you know the role and importance that these 2 bands played in shaping the legacy of KSHE 95 and, indeed, of the “St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society”, itself.
